| description |
|
| Fossils Direct prides itself on wonderful fossils that occur on the British Isles. This particular specimen was found on the Isle of Sheppey approximately 30 years ago and is the most exquisite nautilus from this location that we have had. Most nautilus from here are quite small, however, this is a very large example. The white pearlescent shell, when held at different angles, exhibits flashes of colour as an opal would do. Quite an exceptional specimen!! |
