A beautiful example of this classic Gastropod from a world famous lower lias locality. This location is now closed to collectors permanently and so these super Gastropods will become increasingly scarse and hard to come by in the future. Very good detail throughout. Small patches of original shell still remaining. Approximately 195 million years old.
A really good quality cluster containing two gastropods and a partial belemnite. The other flat gastropod is Obornella granulata. Quality fossils from this world famous fossil locality are becoming increasingly scarce. Approximately 157 million years old.
Around the Minchinhampton area there used to be many working quarries, unfortunately they are now all gone. Within one of the quarries there were found these amazing gastropods, some of which are totally unique to the British Isles. This particular specimen is matrix free and has lots of nodes preserved on the shell. Shell collectors including modern day shell collectors will appreciate just how rare this is! One for the collector of rare gastropods. A British Classic from a classic locality.
This perfect example has wonderful detail throughout and was discovered in 2009. It has been fully prepared and would make a lovely addition for the collector. Approximately 167 million years old.
