Click to enlarge   Name Promicroceras planicosta (Highly aesthetic)
  ref AMM6265
This really aesthetic multi ammonite fossil has beautiful calcite septarian chambers which contain very well preserved ammonites. In the centre chamber, is preserved a small Cymbites globosus ammonite with a mouth border. This type of ammonite is very rare from this locality. Many hours of preparation have gone into this specimen. The white streak of calcite really makes the whole piece stand out. The matrix base is cut flat for upright display and is approximately 200 million years old.

  ref AMM6264
This incredibly intense cluster has taken many hours to prepare. Multi ammonite pieces prepared to this standard, from this iconic locality are few and far between. The larger ammonites on this piece have developed spines. There are no more opportunities to collect this wonderful material and so these multi specimens will become incredibly scarce in the future. One for the collector of fine UK fossils. Approximately 200 million years old.
