| This incredibly rare Peresphincted ammonite was discovered by David Sole and prepared by Andy Cowap. This will make a stunning display specimen for the discerning collector , it also comes with a display stand. We have checked with experts in this field and there is less than a handful of this quality been discovered from this iconic locality. Ammonites with black shell are highly prized and incredibly rare from this location. The very centre has been mud filled during preservation, this is hard to tell when on display. It may be decades before another one of these ammonites is discovered, especially one of these black shelled specimens as fine as this one. Approximately 167 million years old.
