| description |
|
| This rare Fault clay ammonite was first discribed by (Parona & Bonarelli, 1896). The ammonit is stunning both sides and has an immaculate centre. The specimen is mostly covered with its natural, original shell and has wonderful irridescence, exhibiting greens, orange, red and pink. The ammonite also has its aperture in relief to its suture (Cat paw) which is an aesthetic feature. High quality ammonites from this famous locality are becoming very difficult to obtain thesedays. This specimen was discovered circa 1973 and formed part of the Underhill collection. Fossils Direct is a premikum collectors website. |
