| description |
|
| This lower liassic ammonite has been preserved in pale yellow and light brown calcite. The ammonite has been preserved both sides to allow light to pass through and illuminate the shell. Fossils prepared in this way are highly aesthetic and decorative. The matrix has a cut base for upright display. Approximately 200 million years old. A very high quality specimen from England's Jurassic Coast. Fossils Direct is a premium collectors website. |
