| description |
|
| This rare type of Dorsetensia was discovered by the late John Huxtable in 1984 during a temporary exposure and just recently prepared. The ammonite has been preserved in solid calcite and has an immaculate centre. The matrix has a cut base for upright display. A lovely display fossil which is approximately 170 million years old. Oborne Wood is now inaccessible and just a wooded area. Fossils Direct is a premium collectors website. |
