description |

This wonderful and highly aesthetic multi fossil was discovered by David Sole circa 1990 and has been prepared by Andy Cowap. There are four Promicroceras planicosta ammonites and a Xiphericeras dudriesieri (36mm), and running down the centre of the stone is a lovely detai8led piece of fossilised wood from the Monkey Puzzle Tree. These ammonite/wood associations are always aesthetic if prepared sympathetically. Fossils of this quality from this iconic locality are becoming increasingly difficult to obtain thesedays. This piece will make a wonderful display item for either the discerning collector or for that natural history statement fossil around the home or office space. The fossil comes with a black wrought iron display stand. Approximately 200 million years old. Fossils Direct is a premium collectors website. |
