All the ammonites inte4rnal open chamber are packed with thousands of tiny 'Dogs tooth' calcite crystals which are highly aesthetic . As can be seen from the images, you can see why this is referred to as "Beetroot Stone". These ancient Stromatolites are structures formed in shallow water by organisms called "cyanobacteria".
