This exceptionally rare multi ammonite fossil was discovered as a rolled nodule in a stream bed which had dried jup. There are also a small Asteroceras, Cymbites and Xipheroceras. The surface iron staining gives the rock and some ammonites a real aesthetic look and adds definition. This is the only piece packed with ammonites we know of found in Rimpton. Approximately 200 million years old. A display stand is included with this fossil. This piece has had little preparation as in this case, natural looks best. A very unique display fossil of high quality, even the reverse side is packed with ammonites. One for the serious collector of exceedingly rare liassic ammonite multipieces. Fossils Direct is a premium collectors website. |
