Click to enlarge   Name Bredyia crassornata (With counterpart)
  ref AMM6840
This exquisite example has been prepared both sides and has an immaculate centre. Only very rarely do Bredyia's of this quality come on to the open market for sale. The sutures on both sides of the ammonite are beautifully preserved and the aperture is packed with crystals. The specimen was discovered in 1985 and just recently has been prepared by Andy Cowap. The ammonite has its counterpart preserved which is an aesthetic and rare occurrence. This chunky and heavily ribbed ammonite will make a fantastic addition for the collector of fine and rare UK Oolithic ammonites. One for the discerning collector. Approximately 178 million years old.
