A really good quality multi ammonite association, the larger of the specimens exhibits some of its beautifully preserved spines. The other two ammonites (Promicroceras planicosta), are also beautifully preserved in solid calcite. The matrix has a cut base for upright display. Discovered in 1983 and is approximately 200 million years old.
A really nice example of this popular heavily ribbed oolithic ammonite. The ammonite itself has an immaculate pinpoint centre and has been preserved in solid calcite. The matrix has a natural base for upright display. Quality fossils from this locality on England's Jurassic coast are becoming scarce to find thesedays. This superb ammonite was discovered in 2002. Approximately 167 million years old.
