This large and beautifully preserved example was discovered in 1987 and has remained in the same collection ever since. Very tight restrictions have been implemented on fossil collecting from this famous locality. The ammonite has been prepared one side only and has a perfect centre, along with its characteristic nodes. Quality specimens from this location are becoming increasingly difficult to obtain. One for the collector of fine UK liassic ammonites. Approximately 191 million years old.
