This trilobite lived in the warm seas some 430 million years ago. This specimen was collected late last century and has remained in the same collection until now. Collected many decades ago from this classic Welsh locality, is this beautifully preserved, three dimensional Gravicalymene. At one time these were fairly common, but due to accessibility are becoming rather scarce. The trilobite sits proudly on top of a beautifully aesthetic piece of matrix which has a cut base for ease of display. |
