  These two gryphaea are highly unusual. One is a complete juvenile shell which is very rarely seen and the other complete specimen is incredibly thin. Both specimens will make a lovely addition for the serious collector of fossil UK bivalves. Both fossils are approximately 202 million years old and have been fully prepared. Discovered in 2011.

  This fine specimen collected in 1979 has been studied by Dr Noel Morris who was a curator at the Natural History Museum in London. Together with the bivalve is the original response identification letter, handwritten by Dr Morris. To have an official ID letter from a recognised expert is an important addition with this fossil. Approximately 166 million years old.

  A lovely example of this liassic bivalve shell preserved in stone. Usually they are preserved in shale. This fine specimen was discovered in 2014 and would make a very nice drawer fossil for the collector. Approximately 200 million years old.
