Scleractinian Coral. Preserved matrix free, is this rare and very odd looking specimen. The detail throughout is very fine and would make an interesting and important addition to any collection of chalk fossils.
This matrix free specimen with good detail, is of two giant barnacle shells. Fossils such as this are very scarce to obtain and make interesting conversational pieces.
A lovely example of this liassic bivalve shell preserved in stone. Usually they are preserved in shale. This fine specimen was discovered in 2014 and would make a very nice drawer fossil for the collector. Approximately 200 million years old.
Corals are probably one of our favourite fossils and this particular specimen is a fine example of this Silurian coral. The detail throughout this matrix free, three dimensional coral is exceptional. Specimens of this quality are hard to come by. A quality piece.
