Click to enlarge   Name Unidentified Myriapod ( V. Rare Millipede)
  ref ARTH340
Preserved in a hard ironstone nodule is this beautiful split pair containing a millipede and a leaf. The millipede is exceptionally well preserved with some of its legs also present. What makes this more interesting is that the millipede is resting on a leaf - could it have been eating this leaf as it died? A moment in time captured. Millipede fossils are exceptionally rare due to them being soft bodied. One for the serious collector of fine fossils.
