This death assemblage of crinoid stems is a rare find for this area. The fossil was discovered in 1982 and has really nice detail throughout the piece. The whole surface is thousands of crinoid stems. The sea floor must have been very turbulent as there isn't one substantial specimen. A really nice and important addition for the collector. Approximately 190 million years old. |

This is a superb, totally three dimensional calcified crinoid crown. Specimens such as this are very seldom seen for sale due to their rarity. This specimen was collected over 100 years ago from the hard limestone which unfortunately is not accessible anymore. A stunning example of this species! |
