description |

A stunning example which was discovered in 1969 and has remained in the same collection ever since. Iguanodon lived approximately 125 million years ago, reached a length of 12 metres (39 feet) and weighed around 3.5 tonnes. These dinosaurs were herbivores and their main diet consisted of cycads and conifers. The detail on the tooth is fantastic and preserved in jet black calcite. A real classic rarity from this iconic English Dinosaur isle. A serious addition to any world collection. Fossils Direct always brings to our customers old and new the best prepared and rarest fossils from around the UK. |
