description |
|
A beautifully preserved section of Ichthyosaur jaw which has 18 teeth as well as some secondary teeth. Mary Anning used to patrol this area of beach some 200 years ago picking up similar objects. This fossil has been prepared over many hours using Acetic acid. This method reveals fine detail. Jaws and teeth from any creature are very rarely found nowadays from this iconic location. Approximately 200 million years old. A wonderful collection piece for the collector. |
