description |
|
Pliosaur teeth from the Oxford Clay of the UK are seldom ever seen for sale as they are so rare and sought after. Only on the odd occasion does one ever come up for sale on the open market and we at Fossils Direct are proud to offer such a fine and rare example. Pliosaurs were the T Rex of the Jurassic seas, and grow upto 15 meters in length. This massive 5" tooth has a lovely patina and colour, as well as detail. This specimen is not only for the collector of teeth but all fine collections would benefit from a piece such as this !! Larger images can be seen in "showcase fossils" |
