description |
|
From an old collection is this very fine and very asethetic Ichthyosaur specimen. The hard limestone nodule containing the Ichthyosaur vertebrae has been cut and each side has been ground down and a polish applied. The unique feature of this specimen is the curviture of the tail and when the two slices, as in the photographs, are put together, it resembles a bow tie!! A fabulous and unique bone specimen. |
