description |
|
This stunning coprolite is one of the finest we have had to offer to date and being from Hybodus aff delabechei, one of the most important. The coprolite itself is very chunky with beautiful folds incorporated in it, typical of this Jurassic sharks twisted gut. Also on the underside there are lots of fish scales and bone inclusions. A wonderful study fossil. This fossilized dung was collected where Mary Anning used to patrol some 200 years ago. A fantastic conversation piece. |
