description |
|
Fossils Direct are always proud to offer something new to the market and this specimen is just that!! Preserved in the hardest of chert, is this exceptionally rare starfish. Although the starfish is not complete, you can still distinguish the five arms. This particular stone, in days gone by, was used for sharpening scythes, due to their hardness. The specimen was found in a riverbed on the Blackdowns. An exceptionally rare and "one off" specimen. |
