To find one of this type of Brittlestar is rare. However, two on the same piece of matrix we think is a first. The legs on tenuibrachiata are much longer and thinner than that of egertoni and the body is more rounded and slightly smaller. These two Brittlestars died entangled some 190 million years ago on a silty sea floor. Both specimens have tremendous detail throughout and colouration. The matrix has been shaped around the creatures and has a cut and levelbase for display options. This one off world class display double will make a serious addition for the discerning collector. Fossils Direct strive to bring to our customers the very finest specimens from around the United Kingdom. This specimen took many hours to prepare by Andy Cowap. There are supersize images in showcase fossils.
