This large incredible specimen was discovered in 1962 and has been preserved in solid calcite. This goniatite is one of the largest and beautifully detailed specimens we have ever seen. It resided in the late Professor GORDON WALKDEN collection. Treak Cliff is world famous for its Blue John stone and also its Carboniferous marine fossils which are approximately 345 million years old. Fossils Direct is a premium collectors website. One for the serious discerning collector of one off English Carboniferous fossils. |
