description |
|
This large Goniatite was discovered in 1964 from a fissure that has now collapsed in on itself. Collecting on Treak Cliff nowadays is strictly forbidden. Any fossils collected from this locality decades ago are exceptionally rare to obtain thesedays. This large Goniatite is virtually complete which is a rare thing in itself. The goniatic sutures on the body chamber are really nice and clear. This fossil resided in the late GORDON WALKDEN collection. One for the discerning collector. |
