This stunning classic rarity from the East Anglian coast. The tooth belonged to the largest shark that has ever lived reaching lengths of approximately 60 feet and weighing in around 65 tonnes. These teeth from this locality are extremely rare, they are always part worn as they are derived from the Miocene period, however this wear and patina is a signature as to the locality. A tooth of this quality is probably discovered ever 7 or 8 years from this locality, that's how rare it is!! It was discovered in 1965 and has remained in the same collection ever since. Serious collectors of fossil shark teeth from the UK will really appreciate this wonderful and complete tooth from this iconic creature of the sea. Approximately 3 million years old. A unique piece!!
