description |
|
This stunning little solid calcite nautilus was discovered in 1983 during the Loders Cross road cutting. Very few nautilus were discovered and recovered from this now iconic oolithic fossil site, which was only temporary. This nautilus has been fully prepared to reveal wonderful colouration and details. The centre both sides is perfect. The nautilus has remained in the same collection ever since until recently. One for the collector of exquisite fossil nautilus from England's south coast. Approximately 168 million years old. |
