description |
|
This stunning solid calcite Nautilus took many hours of preparation work. The nautilus itself was discovered by Andy in 1989 from this famous fossil locality. Nautilus fossils are very rare from here especially ones of this superb quality. Both centres are perfect and the detail throughout is amazing. Only very rarely do you see this type of quality from this sought after locality on the open market for sale. You will not see a better nautilus than this from Burton Bradstock. This one is for the collector of seriously fine fossils. Approximately 170 million years old. The specimen also comes with stand, and larger images can be viewed in "Showcase fossils" |
