A stunningly rare nautilus from Burton Bradstock. This is the first example in over 30 years of collecting from this famous locality we have seen. Serious collectors of fossil nautiloids will know just how rare this superbly preserved fossil is. The specimen itself was uncovered during a rock fall in the winter of 2005. The umbilicus is very wide and open and the ventre is square with a soft curvature. It is extremely uncommon to see a fossil nautilus of this rarity for sale on the open market.
