| This beautifully preserved gastropod is totally complete and has magnificent detail throughout. The specimen lies on an aesthetic piece of oolithic matrix. It was collected in 1998 with permission from Dudley Tolley who has since passed away. No collecting is now allowed on this famous oolithic site, so fossils from there are very scarce to obtain. Approximately 171 million years old. One for the serious collector of fine UK fossil gastropods. |
