description |
|
A really large and fine example which was discovered in 1963 and has remained in the same collection ever since. As collectors of Barton material will appreciate, these large Turitella's are just not there to be found anymore and so any top quality specimens usually come from old collections. This specimen is one of the largest we have seen from this world famous Eocene locality. One for the serious collector of fine UK Gastropods. Approximately 40 million years old. |
