description |
|
This exceptional specimen was discovered in the mid 1970's and has remained in private hands ever since. Fossil fishes from Lyme Regis are incredibly rare and highly sought after by collectors worldwide. Mary Anning used to fossil collect on the very same reefs as this fine specimen was discovered. The detail throughout the fish is excellent and has been re-prepared since the 1970's. This fossil fish will make an excellent display item for the serious collector of rare UK fossils. Approximately 200 million years old. |
