description |
|
This absolutely wonderful specimen was collected in 1991 and has remained in the same collection ever since but has been totally re-prepared to a world class standard. The ammonite has a high polish and the colours are just awesome, which include green, orange, black and brown. The very centre has a repair and this does not detract whatsoever from the overall aesthetics and is virtually impossible to see. These world class decorative ammonites are becoming extremely rare to obtain and the quarry was backfilled some 20 years ago. This specimen would suit the discerning collector of ~Scunthorpe ammonites or indeed an interior designer looking to achieve a unique feature within the home or office space. A stand also accompanies this specimen and is approximately 200 million years old. A unique investment piece. |
