description |
|
This ammonite has to be one of the most aesthetic pieces we have ever offered for sale on Fossils Direct. The ammonite has been preserved in pale yellow calcite with dark sutures and an immaculate centre. Also the ammonite's apperture has been fully prepared revealing its 'cats paws' which makes it highly aesthetic. The ammonite was discovered and prepared by Andy Cowap and has remained in his personal collection until now. The matrix has been signed and dated by andy on its base back in 2006. Very rarely do ammonites prepared by Andy from his own personal collection come on to the open market for sale. A real one off piece for the serious discerning collector. |
