This large and extremely rare type of Garantiana was discovered in 1989. The specimen has been preserved mostly in calcite and has an immaculate centre. Access to this famous quarry is strictly prohibited and this ammonite is from an old collection. Serious ammonite collectors will appreciate how rare this specimen is. Approximately 169 million years old.
