This specimen is matrix free and the shell has been painstakingly removed and ground smooth and then a high professional polish applied to reveal the beautiful colours and sutures of these beautiful, aesthetic ammonites. The end of the ammonite has been beautifully sculptured to enhance the aesthetics. This ammonite is solid calcite and would make a wonderful display specimen either in the home or office. Approximately 200 million years old. The specimen comes with a chrome display stand. |
