description |
|
This stunning Upper Liassic ammonite was discovered way back in 1990 when collecting at this locality was good, sadly nearly all these locations are covered in solar panels and collecting is seriously restricted to non productive areas. The ammonite itself has been preserved in solid calcite and has an immaculate centre. The keel is also complete which is highly uncommon for this type of ammonite. Very rare ammonites such as this specimen will make an important one off addition for the serious collector. |
