description |
|
An incredibly rare multi specimen piece of these elusive K?immeridgian ammonites. The ammonite has all been washed into a Pavlovia rotunda body chamber. All the ammonites have been preserved in various shades of calcite and some still retain patches of their original shell preserved here as a white film. This specimen was discovered after very rough seas in 2001 which churned up the beach and brought a small section of the cliff down. At Fossils Direct we constantly strive to bring to our customers new and old, the very finest and rare fossils from around the United Kingdom. Approximately 155 million years old. One for the discerning collector!! |
