This superb large example has been preserved in solid pale yellow and olive green coloured calcite. Specimens of this size and quality are extremely rare from this world famous locality. The ammonite's counterpart or negative has been preserved which is a real aesthetic bonus. This type of lias ammonite has a Rostrum which this on this specimen is superbly preserved and complete.
