description |
|
A classic multi-fossil from Lyme Regis which would grace any collection. Many hours of preparation has been spent to make this a very aesthetic fossil and a superb display piece for the serious collector. The fossil includes an Asteroceras confusum (55mm) and 19 Promicroceras planicosta's. Also there is a large piece of fossilised wood which has lovely surface detail throughout. Multi-ammonite and Wood fossils rarely come onto the open market for sale from this locality. All the ammonites are solid calcite. This fossil was discovered after a storm in 1989 and has only recently been prepared. A chrome display stand is included with this fossil Approximately 200 million years old. |
