description |
|
This huge Parkinsonia is of the very highest quality and has been preserved in solid light yellow Calcite. Many hours of preparation by Andy Cowap has gone into this magnificent display fossil. Freshwater as a locality is situated just along the coast from Lyme Regis and is no longer accessible to collect these stunning fossils. This very large highly ribbed Oolithic ammonite would make an important addition for either the serious collector or indeed an interior designer looking to achieve that unique look. The matrix has a cut and level base for ease of display. Approximately 167 million years old. Becoming very rare to obtain nowadays. |
