description |
|
Serious ammonite collectors will appreciate just how rare this pyrite ammonite is. Ornatilobatum is much thinner, twice as many ribs and is more evolute than the usual crucilobiceras densinodulum. Maybe one or two a year come to light of this elusive Crucilobiceras. The detail throughout is very good and the centre is perfect which is most important. This is only the second one we have had for sale on the website in 7 years. Approximately 200 million years old. |
