description |
|
This superb ammonite is one of the finest we have had to date from this sought after locality. Many hours of preparation has gone into this magnificent specimen. The septal wall has been etched out on both sides of the ammonite using fine abrasive work. Phylloceras are very rare from this locality, especially ones of this calibre. This specimen was prepared by Andy Cowap and is approximately 180 million years old. |
