description |
|
This superb specimen has had its shell left on instead of being ground off and polished. The calcite shell has many colours including different shades of greens and browns. The matrix has a cut base for ease of display. These wonderful fossils from Scunthorpe are becoming very rare due to the closure and backfill of all the quarries. Approximately 200 million years old. |
