description |
|
These specimens are now amongst some of the most sought after fossils in the world. This specimen has been ground to reveal the beautiful green, cream and brown sutures and a high polish applied. The specimen is matrix free and displays the "cats paws" feature. As with most ammonites from Scunthorpe, the centre has been slightly restored but this does not detract from the overall beauty of this specimen. These are now getting scarse due to the pits being filled in. A very aesthetic specimen which would enhance any living space. |
