description |
|
This stunning example took many hours to prepare by Andy Cowap. It was discovered in a very unusual locality over 10 years ago. The complete nodule was taken back and prepared to this very high standard. The suture line has also been painstakingly prepared to reveal superb detail. The centre is also perfect and the calcite is a combination of browns. Ammonites of this calibre rarely come on the open market, especially prepared by Andy. A must for the serious collector of UK lias ammonites. |
