| This stunning and large example was discovered in 1979 and is approximately 470 million years old. The specimen lies in an aesthetic piece of hard mudstone and is totally complete. The detail throughout the trilobite is just fantastic. The specimen resided in the Geological Research department of Southampton University until 1990 when this department closed down. Various assets were sold off including this magnificent fossil. The late professor GORDON WALKDEN purchased the fossil and there it resided until now. Wonderful provenance with this stunning fossil.
