description |
|
Magnificently preserved pos/neg of most of the right side of a trilobite including a superb and entirely complete, fully calcified right stalked eye. This is easily the best preservation of an eye of this species that we have ever seen. The ornamentation on the rest of the head is simply exquisite. This specimen was found in the scree in 1986 from Starfish Bed B. Unfortunately the rest of the trilobite was never recovered. A freak occurrence but a fantastic one. |
